Elio was born in Cuba and began his musical career at the age of 10 at the Arts Conservatory Raul Sanchez. At fifteen\, he gained entry into the National Conservatory of Music Carlos Hidalgo where he continued to hone his craft\, even touring Cuba with the symphony orchestra. \nElio immigrated to the United States at the age of 20 and began playing with many notable musicians in Miami. He eventually relocated to Gainesville\, FL\, where he lives with his wife. This is a free outdoor concert\, open to the public! \nJamie Davis\, singer\, song writer and guitar player grew up with music. Coming from a large network of musicians\, surrounded by music from both sides of his mom & dad’s family. His first real opportunity came when he was invited to play bass with the power house vocal group “BuckWild” from South Florida. Shortly after signing a record deal\, the band relocated to Nashville playing supporting shows with such greats as Charlie Daniels\, Josh Turner\, Andy Griggs and others. \nA bit later after falling in love with Bluegrass\, Jamie joined the “Lake City Slickers” working shows and sharing the same ticket with some of Bluegrass’ favorites like\, Mountain Heart\, Lonesome River Band and many more. \nIn 2007 Jamie returned to country music with a whole new perspective & sound\, and with a new band “RoadHouse Live.” Jumping forward\, and with the help of some very dedicated & loyal supporters\, a great band of superb musicians and a very loving & supportive family\, Jamie completed his first album “High Weeds & Rust.” He’s now touring and promoting like a runaway tornado\, selling out venues and building a fan base that’s growing everyday. \n“I love what I do. Tioga’s Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday\, October 12th from 2-8pm. We’ll have live music\, dance performances\, food\, and of course\, plenty of beer! \nAdditional off-site parking with shuttle transportation will be available at CAMPUS USA Credit Union Headquarters\, located at 14007 NW 1st Rd\, Newberry\, FL 32669. Shuttles will run back and forth to Tioga Town Center every 15 minutes. \nFor centuries\, only beer produced by the six main Munich breweries can be sold at the official Oktoberfest in Germany\, with the oldest dating back to the 1328. But you’re in luck\, WOB Tioga was able to feature one of the same exact brews offered in Munich\, and other beers from 5 of the 6 official German Oktoberfest breweries! Not a huge beer fan? No worries\, there will be plenty of other tasty beverages to try including ciders\, sparking rose\, cocktails\, and more! DESCRIPTION:The 2024 Tioga Town Center Car Show will now be held on Saturday\, November 9th from 4-8pm. Come check out an amazing lineup of cars and trucks\, from your favorite vintage classics\, to the newest\, fastest modern styles\, it’s all here. Plus we’ll have live music from Whiskey Jones\, food\, entertainment\, activities\, prizes\, and more! \nThis event is free to attend\, family-friendly\, pet-friendly\, and open to the public. Proceeds from this event will benefit The Child Advocacy Center (CAC). The (CAC) in Gainesville provides a child-friendly\, safe and supportive environment for children who have experienced abuse and neglect. The CAC is a place where professionals – social workers\, counselors\, law enforcement officers\, state attorneys\, victim advocates\, medical professionals and others – work as a team to coordinate investigations and interventions. This collaboration seeks to ensure that children are not re-victimized by the system and that they and their families are provided the support and services needed. \nAdditional off-site parking with shuttle transportation will be available at CAMPUS USA Credit Union Headquarters\, located at 14007 NW 1st Rd\, Newberry\, FL 32669. Shuttles will run back and forth to Tioga Town Center every 15 minutes. \n6 Awards will be given to category winners\, including; Best in Show\, Best Classic Car\, Best Modern Car\, Best Truck\, Best Exotic\, and Most Unique. Winners will be chosen by a set of Community Judges. All winners will be announced on the day of the event\, and will receive a special award and a certificate. All registered Tioga Car Show vehicle owners will receive a swag bag filled with collectible items. \nRegistration to participate in the car show is $40. 100% of Vehicle Registration fees will go directly to the CAC.
